Kids play in the soil at Markey Park every day. Testing found elevated lead levels in that soil. We're raising money to remediate it — because no child should have to play on contaminated ground.
Markey Park is one of the most-used playgrounds in the Bywater — a neighborhood full of families and kids. Lead in soil is a serious health risk, especially for young children, and it doesn't go away on its own.
Remediation means replacing contaminated soil with clean fill, so kids can play safely. It's not glamorous work, but it's exactly the kind of thing a community takes care of when it loves where it lives.
Help us get this done. Every dollar goes directly toward making Markey Park safe for the kids who play there every day.
